Sakke Siltala and
Jack Burke were selected as All-Sun Belt Conference honorees for their play during the 2024-25 season.
For the second consecutive season, Siltala was recognized as part of the league's second team after leading the Bobcats with a 70.87 stroke average across 10 tournaments. The junior topped the TXST lineup in seven of 10 events, while collecting three top five finishes, six in the top 10 and seven in the top 25. In all, he finished seven tournaments under par and had his highest finish at the Kapolei Invitational, where he tied for second.
Siltala carded a team-high 11 rounds in the 60s, including a career-low 66 in the first round at the Kapolei Invite, and led the Bobcats with all 30 rounds counting toward the team score, 19 rounds at even or under par and 113 birdies, while sharing the team lead with three eagles.
The junior was named SBC Golfer of the Week twice during the season and garnered a 618-132-28 record against all competitors.
Burke joins Siltala as a back-to-back honoree having also earned third-team distinction a season ago. The senior posted a 71.80 stroke average with 17 rounds even or under par. His seven rounds in the 60s were highlighted by a first-round 65 at the Hal Williams Collegiate where he posted a career-best second place finish, one of three events he led the Bobcat lineup.
Burke finished six tournaments even or below par en route to one top five finish, a pair in the top 10 and seven in the top 25, while compiling a 545-200-33 individual record. He picked up one conference player of the week accolade this season.
