SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State women's tennis fell 4-0 to Coastal Carolina on Sunday, moving to 1-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.
"Tough loss today, we just got beat," said head coach
Kendall Brooks. "Came out a bit flat in doubles and didn't play great, and then just couldn't get anything going in singles. The effort was there, but not enough today. We will bounce back and be ready for two matches at home next week."
TXST dropped the doubles point to begin the match, losing matches on courts one and two. The Bobcats then fell in three straight matches in singles play, allowing Coastal to earn the points needed to clinch the match.
This marked the first time in over a month that the Bobcats have dropped a match, and the loss to Coastal Carolina snapped their nine-match winning streak.
