SEMMES, Alabama -- After an approximately 6.5 hour inclement weather delay from the Bobcats' originally scheduled 9 a.m. CT tee time, Texas State completed 15 holes of the second round at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate before play was suspended for darkness. The remainder of the second round, as well as the third and final round, will take place Wednesday.
Jack Burke has carded a nearly unblemished round so far after leading off with a bogey on No. 8 before registering three birdies on the back nine to sit at 2-under with three holes to play in the second round. The senior is tied for 12th.
Sakke Siltala went even par across 15 holes to improve nine spots on the individual leaderboard and heads into the final day at +5 and in a tie for 36th.
With two holes to play on the second 18,
Jaxon Donaldson (+2) is 2-over and in 21st.
Joel Talusen (+6, T40) and
Ben Loveard (+9, T53) have three holes to place apiece with both sitting at +3 for the round.
TXST currently sits sixth on the team leaderboard with a 3-over second round. For the tournament, the Bobcats are +12. South Alabama continues to lead the field at -10, while Valparaiso climbed three spots to second at -4 and UCF fell to third at -3.
Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. CT Tuesday.
