SAN MARCOS, Texas – Wednesday starts a three-game homestand for Texas State (6-5) when it takes on Southern (4-5). Tipoff from inside Strahan Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

About Texas State
The Bobcats are looking to remain undefeated at home this season having won their first six games in San Marcos. Last time the team won seven consecutive games in Strahan Arena to start a season was when it won the first eight in the 2003-04 campaign.
 
DJ Hall is coming off his second straight double-double, and fourth of the season, with a 12-point, 12-rebound performance at Rice. He leads the team with 12.5 points per game, 7.4 rebounds per game and a 57.0 shooting percentage. He is second on the team with 29 assists and 17 steals that sees Kaden Gumbs lead in each category with 43 assists and 21 steals.
 
A season-high 23-point game against the Owls saw Mark Drone increase his scoring output to 12.2 ppg. Coming off the bench, Dimp Pernell is contributing 8.8 ppg with a team-high 13 made three-pointers. Also knocking double double-digit treys has been Franck Emmou with 11.
 
About Southern
The Jaguars played up in Austin on Monday and fell 95-69 to Texas. The setback dropped them to 1-5 in road games with the lone win being over Northwestern State on Nov. 29. Monday's game was the first of five consecutive road games for the Jaguars that will also see them make trips to play Baylor, California Baptist and Illinois.
 
Michael Jacobs leads the team in scoring (21.0) and assists (4.3) while making 50.4% of his shots including going 13-for-32 (40.6%) on three-pointers. DaMariee Jones is putting up 10.3 ppg and is grabbing 6.3 rebounds a contest. Also with a double-digit scoring average is Malek Abdelgowad at 10.0 ppg and he is leading the team with 7.9 rpg.
