SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State (0-1) takes on Texas A&M-San Antonio (1-3) on Wednesday in the home opener. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Strahan Arena.

The Bobcats are coming off a season opening loss at Bowling Green on Monday as part of the MAC/SBC Challenge. Franck Emmou was the lone double-digit scorer for the team with 12 points while also grabbing a team best five rebounds. Dimp Pernell added seven points and dished out a team-high three assists as the bench combined to score 33 of the team's 48 points.

Texas State looks to extend its home opening winning streak to eight games. The last time the Bobcats dropped their home opener was in 2017 to UTSA. All-time, TXST is 61-14 in the first home game of a campaign since the 1950-51 season.

The Jaguars played Monday at Lamar in an exhibition game for them. They fell 93-53 and were led by Joshua Larry with 16 points on 6-fo-13 shooting.

Texas A&M-San Antonio's lone win this season was a 68-64 contest over Stanton on Nov. 1. The team's three losses have all been the road.
