SAN MARCOS, Texas – Despite another double-digit outing from sophomore
Saniya Burks, Texas State women's basketball dropped its game against Tarleton State by a 56-45 scoreline on Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
The Bobcats responded well to Tarleton State's 7-0 run to start the game, bringing the game within one score by the end of the first quarter. The Bobcats shot 5-16 for 11 points to keep the game close. Burks led with four points in the first quarter while

Â
The Bobcats were able to take the lead in the second quarter on a

Unfortunately, though, the Texans outscored the Bobcats 21-8 in the fourth quarter to go on to win 56-45, despite Texas State leading after the third. Tarleton State's 9-13 shooting, compared to the Bobcats 4-18, was the difference in the game.Â
