SAN MARCOS, Texas – The final contest of a five-game homestand in Strahan Arena for the Texas State men's basketball team (5-2) takes place Monday night at 6 p.m. against Texas Lutheran (1-2).

About Texas State
The Bobcats have won all five homes games this season after defeating Little Rock 65-56 on Friday. It is the longest streak to start a season since winning the first six home contests of the 2018-19 campaign. Texas State is also off to its best start overall since 2021-22 season when the team won nine of its first 11 games.
DJ Hall has scored at least 11 points in each of the last five games to increase his scoring average to a team best 11.0 per game. He is shooting 54.0% from the field and knocked down 79.3% of his free throw attempts. The freshman also paces the team with 6.3 rebounds per game while ranking second with 18 assists and seven steals.
Putting up 10.6 ppg is Mark Drone while Dimp Pernell is adding 10.1 ppg with a team-high 11 made three-pointers. Just shy of a double-digit scoring average is Franck Emmou at 9.9 ppg behind 10 treys.

The Bulldogs are coming off a win Friday night in their home opener over Southwestern. They dropped road games to Hardin-Simmons and Howard Payne by a combined 12 points to begin the season. TLU hosts Hardin-Simmons on Sunday afternoon before facing Texas State. Monday's contest for the Bulldogs is an exhibition game.
Leading the team in scoring (21.0), rebounding (7.7) and field goal percentage (59.5) is Teddy Tapken. Semaj Edwards comes in putting up 19.0 ppg with 5.7 rpg. Leading the squad with five made three-pointers is Mason Wallace, who is averaging 18.7 ppg and 7.3 rpg.

Texas State leads the all-time series 27-7 and has won the last 14 meetings. Last time the teams played ended in a 103-45 victory for the Bobcats on Nov. 5, 2020 in Strahan Arena.
At home, TXST is 16-4 all-time against the Bulldogs including winning the last 11 games. The last time the Bobcats lost at home and in the series was on Jan. 25, 1978 by a score of 94-90.
