HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
Texas State came out aggressive in the first quarter, getting themselves out to a quick 7-2 lead. From there, they pushed their lead out to as many as eight off a
Morgan Hill and-one attempt. The Bobcats ended the first quarter with a 14-9 lead.
Â
Texas State was able to narrowly extend its lead in the second quarter, outscoring the Panthers 19-16. Leading the charge in the second quarter was Terrell with six points on 4-4 free throw shooting. That, paired with four from

Â
The Bobcats struggled to settle into the third quarter, but after a surge late in the quarter, they were able to maintain their eight-point lead. Despite Georgia State drawing the score close at 38-36, Texas State ended the quarter on a 7-1 run to go up 45-37. The late surge in the third was highlighted by five more from Terrell.
Â
The fourth quarter was all Panthers, though. Hot shooting for the visitors helping them tie the game up just before the media time out. Eight unanswered points found the Bobcats defending their home floor. From there, Georgia State extended their lead to as many as nine, holding that through to the end of the game. At the final whistle the Bobcats fell 59-51.
