SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State men's golf is back in action Monday and Tuesday the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate hosted by Arkansas State at the RidgePointe Country Club.
The 15-team field includes Austin Peay, Lindenwood, Jacksonville State, Murray State, UT Martin, New Orleans, Southeastern Louisiana, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Texas A&M Commerce, Nicholls, Oklahoma Christian, and Southern Indiana, in addition to the host Red Wolves and Texas State.

The Bobcats are coming off a ninth-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate, which featured a pair of athletes finishing in the top 20. Siltala tied for 16th (-3), while Donaldson for 19th (-2). Burke also competed at the season-opening event, finishing tied for 28th. TXST went 3-over in the 14-team field to open the season.
Burke and Siltala were All-Sun Belt selections in 2024, helping Texas State to four top five finishing including a win at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate. The team qualified for match play at the Sun Belt Championship for the first time in program history after tying for third in stroke play.
