MOBILE, Alabama – Six Texas State football players are featured on the first edition of the 2025 Senior Bowl Watch List, as announced Wednesday. The Senior Bowl, which features elite draft prospects from across the country, will take place February 1, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama.

Jordan McCloud | QB | Tampa, Fla. | James Madison / Plant
The 2023 Sun Belt Player of the Year threw for 3,657 yards and 35 touchdowns while completing 281-of-412 passes at James Madison. He also added a team leading eight rushing touchdowns for the Dukes on 96 carries totaling 276 yards. McCloud registered five 300-yard games a season ago, including a career-high 457-yard outing against UConn, and amassed 3,933 yards of total offense.
Deion Hankins | RB | El Paso, Texas | UTEP / Parkland
A second-team All-Conference USA selection in 2023 while at UTEP, Hankins posted a career-high 812 rushing yards on 157 carries with five touchdowns, while adding seven receptions for 71 yards, and closed the season with a rushing touchdown in four of the final six games.
Joey Hobert | WR | San Clemente, Calif. | Utah Tech / San Juan Hills
Hobert led the Bobcats last season with 76 receptions and 895 yards while his eight touchdown receptions were tied for the most on the squad. His 6.9 receptions per game placed him third in the conference and 12th in the nation. Hobert recorded five 100-yard receiving games including a stretch of four in a five-game span.
Nash Jones | OL | Nacogdoches, Texas | UIW / Nacogdoches
Jones made six starts in 2023, missing part of the season due to injury, and helped the Texas State offense to top-15 national rankings in scoring offense (11th, 36.7) and total offense (15th, 457.6)
Ben Bell | DE | Cedar Park, Texas | Louisiana Tech / Cedar Park
Bell was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection in 2023 registering 57 tackles (32 solo), including a team-best 16 tackles for loss (T20 NCAA) for 88 yards and 10 sacks (T9 NCAA) for 76 yards. The 10 sacks were a single-season FBS program record, while his TFL total matched the program mark. Across two seasons in San Marcos, Bell has racked up 82 tackles, with 19 TFLs, 12 sacks and a pair of forced fumbles.
Steven Parker | DE | Dallas, Texas | UIW / South Oak Cliff
A first-team All-American by Pro Football Focus in 2023 while at UIW, Parker was named an All-Southland Conference selection and a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, which honors the most outstanding defensive player in FCS football. Parker registered 36 tackles, including 14.5 TFLs and 7.0 sacks in 10 games, while adding six QBHs and three forced fumbles.
Coming off a historic 2023 campaign, Texas State is favored to win the Sun Belt Conference's West Division, while eight student-athletes were selected as preseason all-conference honorees by the league and seven student-athletes have earned 11 national watch list nods to date.
