Texas State Announces 2024 Football Promotional Schedule

Homecoming is set for Nov. 16

SAN MARCOS, Texas – With 100 days left before the 2024 Texas State football season opener, Texas State Athletics announced the full slate of home game promotions for the upcoming season on Thursday.
 
The Bobcats' home slate at Jim Wacker Field at UFCU Stadium features seven games with exciting promotions such as the SERVRPO First Responder Bowl Championship Celebration (Aug. 31), Family Weekend (Oct. 12), Homecoming (Nov. 16) and Community Day (Nov. 23).
 
The complete 2024 promotional schedule includes:
  • Saturday, Aug. 31 vs. Lamar – Home Opener and Bowl Championship Celebration
    • Fans are encouraged to wear Maroon
    • Pregame recognition of the SERVRPO First Responder Bowl Championship to honor the program's first ever bowl game victory
    • Also, on the night before the home opener, there will be the return of the Back the Bobcats Block Party in San Marcos. More details about that event will be announced in the summer.
  • Saturday, Sept. 7 vs. UTSA – I-35 Rivalry and Take Back Texas
    • The Bobcats and Roadrunners will meet in San Marcos for the first time in four years as they battle for the I-35 Trophy
    • Take Back Texas rally towel giveaway
    • Strutters 65th Reunion
  • Thursday, Sept. 12 vs. Arizona State – Hispanic Heritage Day
    • Bobcats battle with the Big 12 when they host Arizona State in primetime
    • Pack the Wack for the national television broadcast

  • Saturday, Oct. 12 vs. Arkansas State – Family Weekend
    • Fans encouraged to pack UFCU Stadium wearing their favorite Bobcat gear
    • Texas State student families will get to experience a gameday as part of Family Weekend at the university
    • White pom pom giveaways
  • Tuesday, Oct. 29 vs. Louisiana – Midweek Madness and Faculty & Staff Day
    • Texas State University faculty and staff ticket deal
    • Glow sticks giveaway
  • Saturday, Nov. 16 vs. Southern Miss – Homecoming and SWT Throwback
    • Homecoming
    • Fans encouraged to wear their favorite Southwest Texas State gear
    • Team will wear throwback SWT uniforms
    • SWT/TXST slap banner giveaway
  • Saturday, Nov. 23 vs. Georgia State – Senior Day and Community Day
    • Students at San Marcos ISD and other local ISDs will receive one free ticket to the game
    • The Bobcats will honor their senior class
    • TXST thunder sticks giveaway
 
Season tickets for the 2024 season are on sale now at TXST.com/tickets or by calling the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office at 512-245-2272.
 
Limited season tickets remain in the Priority Reserved (sections 101-105) while the Dan & Cindee Diepenhorst Champions Club is sold out for the 2024 season.
 
Fans can save up to 60 percent on 2024 single-game ticket prices by purchasing season tickets, which include the best value for fans as well as preferred seating to all seven home games. Season ticket holders also get benefits such as guaranteed seat location, priority access to postseason games, Bobcat Club priority points, away game priority, ability to sell unused tickets on SeatGeek, and more.
 
Game times for the first three weeks of the season will be announced in the coming days. All other game times, home and away, will be subject to the 12-day selection window by television partners.
 
Single-game tickets will go on sale later in the summer.
 
Texas State football currently holds the best newcomer class in the Sun Belt Conference, according to 247Sports, and returns 17 starters from last year's team that set the FBS program record for most wins in a season.
