SAN MARCOS, Texas – As the first showcase since the program's record-breaking 2023 season and bowl win back in December, Texas State football is set to host the 2024 Spring Game at Bobcat Stadium on Saturday.
The event, which starts at 11 am, will feature an open practice and scrimmage for fans to get a firsthand look at this year's team of Bobcats. Admission is free for all fans.
Parking and tailgating are free and will be open on the west side of the stadium in lots 1-3. Tailgating services will not be available for the game and fans are encouraged to service their own spaces. Due to construction, Gate 2 will be open starting at 10 am for fans to enter the stadium.
In-Stadium Experience
In addition to getting an early preview of the Bobcats under second-year head coach
GJ Kinne, Texas State fans can enjoy other parts of the gameday, including:
- Free 2024 Texas State football schedule posters giveaway
- Coca-Cola Kids Fun Zone will be open for kids and families
- In-game, on-the-field interviews with Bobcats and coaches
- Postgame autographs with the Bobcats
- Merchandise sale
- Concessions on the west side will be open
With the ongoing construction of the William Trevillion IV Weight Room and Johnny and Nathali Weisman Football Performance Center, the Paul and Pat Gowens Family Pavilion will be closed.
Select-A-Seat
Demand for season tickets has been high so far this offseason, and Bobcat fans will have an opportunity to purchase their season tickets at the Spring Game and get ready for the seven-game home schedule in 2024.
Open seats will be marked as fans can select their preferred location for the much-anticipated 2024 season. Representatives from Texas State Athletics will also be on hand to answer any questions about ticket options.
Champions Club & Legacy Suites
The Dan & Cindee Diepenhorst Champions Club will be open to those who have renewed or purchased their club tickets for the 2024 season. Refreshments and snacks are available in the Champions Club to club ticket holders.
For Bobcat fans who have Legacy Suites, they are able to access this level. Please contact the Bobcat Club at least 24 hours before game time to have the suite opened and to get more information. The Bobcat Club can be reached by calling 512-245-2117.
Where to Follow Along
For fans outside of San Marcos and unable to attend in-person, the entire 2024 Spring Game will be broadcast on the radio on KTSW 89.9 and online and mobile devices through the free Varsity Network app. The broadcast will start with the pregame show at 10:30 am and Clint Shields and Geff Gandy will be on the call. The pair will interview special guests throughout the game.
The 2024 season opens at home on Aug. 31 vs. Lamar. The seven-game home schedule also features matchups against UTSA, Arizona State, Arkansas State, Georgia State, Louisiana and Southern Miss.
