Mason Earns Sun Belt All-Tournament Team Honors

NEW ORLEANS – Stellar performances by Jordan Mason saw him be named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Tournament Team on Monday after he helped the Bobcats reach the semifinals for the second straight year as the No. 11 seed.
 
The sophomore guard 16.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game in Pensacola, Florida. He also shot 21-for-50 (42.0%) from the field and connected on 21-of-26 (80.8%) free throw attempts.
 
Mason began the week by scoring 19 points, grabbing seven boards, dishing out seven assists and recording two steals in the first round overtime win over Old Dominion. He followed with an 18-point performance with five rebounds and four assists in upsetting Southern Miss.
 
The San Antonio native scored a career-high 25 points as he made 9-of-11 shots including a career-high three made attempts from beyond the arc as the Bobcats stunned the No. 3 seed Troy.
 
Mason is the fourth Texas State player to be named to the Sun Belt All-Tournament Team. He joins Mason Harrell (2023), Kavin Gilder-Tilbury (2017) and Immanuel King (2017) on earning the accolade.
