SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team (2-1) will play its second consecutive road game when it travels to take on Abilene Christian (2-1) on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. from the Moody Coliseum.

The Bobcats suffered their first loss of the season on Tuesday with a five-point setback at TCU. Four TXST players scored in double-figures led by a career-high 17 points from
Tylan Pope. Saturday is the second of six consecutive games away from San Marcos.
Kaden Gumbs leads the way offensive at 17.3 points per game and is one of five Bobcats with a double-digit scoring average.
Drue Drinnon is putting up 11.7 ppg and has dished a team-high 4.0 assists a contest while coming off the bench. Both
Joshua O'Garro and Pope are netting 10.7 ppg with O'Garro pacing the squad at 6.3 rebounds per game. Putting up 10.3 ppg is
Dylan Dawson, who is tied for the team lead of four steals with Gumbs and O'Garro.

Both of the Wildcats wins this season have come against non-Division I opponents beginning with Howard Payne (107-74) on opening night and McMurry (101-55) on Tuesday. ACU's loss came against Middle Tennessee (79-56). Saturday is the last of four consecutive home games for the Wildcats to start the season.
Leonardo Bettiol leads the team offensively at 13.3 ppg while making 18-of-23 (78.3%) shot attempts. Quion Williams is averaging 12.0 ppg and is grabbing 7.0 rpg while Dontrez Williams is putting up 11.3 ppg coming off the bench. Bradyn Hubbard leads the squad with 7.3 rpg as 10 of his 22 rebounds have been on the offensive glass.
Series History
Texas State leads the all-time series 41-18 and have won eight of the last 10 meetings. Last time the teams played was a 61-56 victory for the Bobcats in Strahan Arena on Nov. 25, 2019.
When facing ACU on the road, TXST is 12-9 all-time with the last meeting being Dec. 9, 2017. That day saw the Wildcats claim a 72-68 win. The Bobcats' last win in Abilene was on Feb. 18, 1984 that ended 69-64.
