FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas State women's basketball was stopped by the TCU Horned Frogs on Wednesday night.Â
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
Despite the Horned Frogs getting off to a quick start,
Jaylin Foster was able to drain an early three that brought the score back within four early on. That, followed by a jumper from
Destiny Terrell helped the Bobcats keep things close in the first quarter. Freshman
Takeira Ramey checked into the game in the first quarter, recording her first minutes as a Bobcat.Â
Â
Despite the close start in the first quarter, TCU was able to put some distance between themselves and the Bobcats outscoring them 25-9 in the second quarter. At the halftime break the Bobcats were down.
Â
After the Horned Frog continued to extend their lead in the third quarter, the Bobcats went to their bench for some new options.
Taleiyah Gibbs and
Ebba Zalamans became the second and third Bobcats to see their first minutes as Bobcats tonight.
Â
Morgan Hill hit two layups late in the fourth for four points. At the end of the 40 minutes, the Bobcats fell 90-31.
