SAN MARCOS, Texas – After nearly a one-month hiatus from tournament competition, the Texas State men's golf team returns to action Tuesday to take on the field at the Kapolei Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Club on the island of O'ahu.

The three-day, 54-hole tournament will open with a 2 p.m. CT/9 a.m. HT shotgun start each day. TXST is paired with St. John's and Utah Tech for round one.
The Bobcats are coming off a fifth-place finish (-14) at the 15-team Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate, where Siltala led three players in the top 20 with a third-place finish. Loveard (T10th) and Burke (T17th) rounded out the top three for TXST.
Both Burke and Siltala have had all six of their rounds counted towards the Bobcats' team score this season, with Donaldson contributing to four, Loveard three and Talusen two. Donaldson joins Burke and Siltala as the only players to compete in both tournaments to open 2024-25.
The 2024 season saw Burke and Siltala as All-Sun Belt selections, helping Texas State to four top five finishes including a win at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate. The team qualified for match play at the Sun Belt Championship for the first time in program history after tying for third in stroke play.
The Kapolei Invitational serves as the final tournament on the 2024 portion of the schedule, with action resuming Feb. 10-11 at the Hall Williams Collegiate in Mobile, Alabama.
