This Week at Texas State: September 25, 2023

Football begins conference play on the road at Southern Miss this Saturday. Volleyball travels to James Madison for a pair of matches, and soccer will face Georgia State in Atlanta on Friday. Tennis is hosting the TXST Fall Invite this weekend and softball begins their fall schedule at UTSA.

Football

On Saturday Texas State overcame a 17-0 halftime deficit to beat Nevada 35-24 for the program's largest come-from-behind win in FBS history. This week the Bobcats open conference play on the road at Southern Miss on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. 
 
Volleyball

Volleyball got its first series sweep of conference play after beating ULM 3-1 last week. The Bobcats will head to Virginia for a rematch of the 2022 Sun Belt Conference Championship with James Madison on Sept. 28 and 29. 
 
Soccer 
Friday, September 29—at Georgia State

Texas State recorded a 1-1 draw against Troy on Sunday afternoon at the Bobcat Soccer Complex, which extends the Bobcats' unbeaten streak to six matches. On Friday Texas State will be on the road in Atlanta to take on Georgia State at 6 p.m.
 
Tennis
Sept. 30- Oct. 1—TXST Fall Invite

Bobcat Tennis Complex (San Marcos)
 
Tennis will be hosting their second annual TXST Fall Invite this weekend at the Bobcat Tennis Complex. In the second fall tournament of the season, Texas State went 22-2 in singles and 6-1 in doubles at the Southwestern Quad. 
 
Softball

Softball begins their fall schedule in San Antonio against UTSA at 6 p.m.
