SETTING THE TABLE
In its second home game in as many weeks, Texas State will host Nevada on Saturday at 6 pm at Bobcat Stadium to wrap up its nonconference schedule.

The Bobcats are off to their best start in 10 years thanks to an offense that is 12th in the country in scoring, a defense that is leading the nation in tackles for loss and is third in total sacks, and a special teams unit that is pacing all of FBS in kick return yards.

Texas State opened its 2023 home schedule last Saturday with a 77-34 win over Jackson State. The Bobcats scored their most points in a game in more than 100 years while also producing 684 yards of offense, including 399 on the ground.

Nevada, who beat Texas State last year to open the 2022 season in Reno, is 0-3 to start 2023. The Wolf Pack fell narrowly to Kansas, 31-24, last week.

The meeting between the Bobcats and Wolf Pack this week is the third all-time matchup between the two programs. Nevada leads the all-time series 2-0, which includes a 34-21 victory in San Marcos in 2012. Texas State has not beaten a team from the Mountain West Conference since 2013.

Saturday's game is Hispanic Heritage Day, Extra Yard for Teachers, and Strutters Founders' Day. Tickets are available at TXST.com/tickets.
