Volleyball hosts the Texas State Invitational with their home opener set for Thursday against North Texas. Football opens the 2023 season under new head coach GJ Kinne on the road against Baylor on Saturday. Soccer will host Oklahoma State for a midweek match before facing Houston Christian on the road.

Texas State football's highly-anticipated 2023 season under new head coach GJ Kinne begins on the road in Waco, Texas against Baylor on Saturday. Texas State's 2023 roster consists of 53 new scholarship players, and 71 total newcomers (18 walk-ons), as Kinne and his entirely new coaching staff have put together the program's best newcomer class in its FBS history, according to 247Sports.

Soccer returns to San Marcos for a midweek match against Oklahoma State on Thursday, the match will feature a balloon giveaway, a sidewalk chalk contest, and post-match autographs. On Sunday, the Bobcats travel to take on Houston Christian to cap off the week.

Volleyball improved to 2-1 on the year after collecting two three-set wins against Marist College and UT Martin at the Tennessee Classic to open the season. The Bobcats will now return to San Marcos to host the Texas State Invitational with matches against North Texas and #19 Houston.
