Jones Selected to 2024 Senior Bowl Watch List

First-year transfer was a three-time all-conference performer at UIW

SAN MARCOS, Texas – Nash Jones, a first-year offensive tackle for Texas State football, has been selected to the 2024 Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List, the organization announced on Wednesday.

From Nacogdoches, Texas, Jones is one of the key transfers for the Bobcats this upcoming season and set to be a central piece of the offensive line. He transferred to Texas State in December 2022 after spending the first three seasons of his collegiate career at UIW.

Last season with the Cardinals, Jones anchored the offensive line as the starting left tackle and helped the team finish as the nation's top-scoring offense in Division I football. He played all but one snap on the blind side of quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr., who won the Walter Payton Award as the top offensive player in the FCS. Jones also allowed just one sack on 527 pass plays.

In his career, Jones is a three-time All-Southland selection and was named an FCS All-American by Bluebloods in 2022 and FCS Sophomore All-American by HERO Sports in 2021.

This is the second year in a row a Bobcat offensive lineman was named to the Senior Bowl Watch List. Guard Kyle Hergel received the honor in 2022.

The 2024 edition of the Senior Bowl is set to take place on February 3, 2024 and can be watched on NFL Network.
