SAN MARCOS, Texas – The return of the I-35 Rivalry on the gridiron between Texas State and UTSA on September 9 at the Alamodome will kick off at 2:30 pm, the American Athletic Conference and ESPN announced on Thursday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
The kickoff time for the Bobcats and Roadrunners was the remaining game time to be determined in the Bobcats' first three weeks of the 2023 season. Last week, it was announced Texas State would kick off at 6 pm at Baylor on September 2 to open the season and then host Jackson State at 6 pm on September 16 for the home opener at Bobcat Stadium.
Texas State Athletics also announced on Thursday limited number of visiting section tickets are on sale for the Baylor and UTSA road games. Tickets for both games are $55 and limited in quantity. To purchase tickets in the Texas State section, visit

The Bobcat Marching Band will be traveling to rivalry game against UTSA while world-renowned Strutters will be at both the Baylor and UTSA contests.
The matchup between Texas State and UTSA will be the first of nine straight seasons in which the two rivals will face off in San Antonio and San Marcos. The two have not met since 2020.
Season tickets for the Bobcats' six-game home schedule are available now and start at just $80. Half season ticket packages start at only $45.
Single-game tickets for all home games will go on sale July 7.
Game times for the remaining five home games will be announced in June.
The 2023 season, the first under head coach GJ Kinne, is 86 days away.
