This Week at Texas State: April 24, 2023

Men's golf and tennis begin conference championship play this week. Baseball will host Prairie View A&M for a midweek matchup before hitting the road for a weekend series at Old Dominion. Softball will play four games on the road this week, beginning with a meeting at Baylor on Wednesday. Track and Field ends the outdoor regular season at the Texas Invitational in Austin.

Baseball ended their weekend trip at Troy with a 9-5 win over the Trojans. The first game of the week for the Bobcats will be on Wednesday when they host Prairie View A&M prior to the penultimate conference road series at Old Dominion.

Over the weekend Softball swept ULM at home, including a two-win day in a Saturday doubleheader. This week the team will head to Waco for a midweek meeting with Baylor. From there, the Bobcats will head East to face Marshall in a three-game weekend series. 
 
Men's Golf
Monday-Thursday, April 24-27—Sun Belt Conference Championship

Men's golf will be competing at the Sun Belt Conference Championship at the Annandale Golf Club. The Bobcats will be vying for their first Sun Belt title since joining the conference. At the 2022 conference championship Texas State finished seventh as a team. 
 
Women's Tennis

Tennis ended the final week of the regular season with two wins over Louisiana and ULM. The Bobcats prepare to head to the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Georgia. Last season Texas State was stopped in the quarterfinals by No. 1 seed South Alabama. 
 
Track and Field
Saturday-Sunday, April 28-29—Texas Invitational

Austin, Texas
 
Track and Field's Elisabet Runarsdottir had a runner-up finish in the women's hammer throw as a freshman to highlight the first day of the Michael Johnson Invitational at Baylor. On day two of the meet, Breanna Clark recorded a top-five finish in the women's 800. This week the Bobcats will be in Austin for the Texas Invitational to close out the regular season.
