SAN MARCOS, Texas – In the newest States Up podcast, Texas State football's
Brian Holloway discusses the first few months of the GJ Kinne era as a returner from last year's team, where his love of football started, and what he expects from the Bobcats this upcoming season.
Holloway is entering his second year as a Bobcat after transferring from SMU last summer. As an inside linebacker, he was initially playing behind seniors
Sione Tupou and
London Harris. But as the season wore on, the League City, Texas native earned more and more snaps on defense and finished the season seventh on the team in tackles with 49 and had 5.0 TFLs and 1.0 sack as well.
In the podcast, Holloway goes into the experience of transferring to Texas State, his friendship with the Bell brothers (Levi and Ben), why he chose to go the junior college route out of high school, what led him to Texas State, and the role his family had on him playing football.
