SAN MARCOS, Texas – In the newest States Up podcast, Texas State football's associate head coach and special teams coordinator Daniel Da Prato shares how his first weeks on the job have gone – including learning about a place while trying to recruit student-athletes to it at the same time – as well as his background in the game of football.
 
A native of California but college coach with 20+ years of experience across the country, Da Prato was named to the new Texas State coaching staff in December. Since then, he has helped the Bobcats recruit 33 new players to the team and transition the Bobcats to a new chapter of the program.
 
In the podcast, Da Prato talks about the experience over the last few weeks, his start in the coaching profession, his philosophy on special teams, how he and Kinne first connected, and more.
