SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State Athletics announced several exciting fan events around the Bobcats' first ever bowl game appearance with the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl in Dallas on Dec. 26, including a holiday celebration, pregame tailgate, and postgame party.
 
The bowl game events for fans include:

• Holiday Celebration with Bobcat Football – Monday, Dec. 25 (5-8 pm)
  • Location: The Westin Dallas Downtown (1201 Main Street, Dallas, TX, 75202)
  • Bobcat fans can celebrate the holidays with Texas State football in a gathering in the Westin Lobby Lounge of the team hotel. Fans will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow Bobcats, University President Kelly Damphousse, and members of Texas State Athletics. The event serves as the Dallas kickoff and will have refreshments for those in attendance. Fans are asked to RSVP here.
• Bobcat Bash Tailgate – Tuesday, Dec. 26 (1:30 pm-kickoff)
  • Location: Bishop Boulevard, outside of Gerald J. Ford Stadium
  • Before the game, join the Texas State University Alumni Association and favorite local party band Hazard County for a memorable tailgate experience. In addition to the live music, there will be a BBQ buffet, full bar with the first two drinks included in admission, plus appearances from the Bobcat Marching Band, cheerleaders, and Texas State Strutters. Tickets are $50 and $25 for ages 12 and under and can be purchased in advance through the Alumni Association.
• Postgame Party – Tuesday, Dec. 26 (After the game)
  • Location: Frankie's Downtown Bar (1303 Main Street, Dallas, TX, 75202)
  • Celebrate Texas State's participation in the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl with all of Bobcat Nation to close out a spectacular season.
