The new staff members join current athletic trainers Brendan Ahern (interim head football athletic trainer), Taylor Lippert (assistant athletic trainer, women's soccer and women's golf) and Gabe Olivas (assistant athletic trainer, baseball and men's golf).
"When we went through our strategic planning process, athletic training and sports medicine became a focus point of ours to continue to provide a championship-level student-athlete experience," said Don Coryell, Texas State Director of Athletics. "We have now added several full-time staff members to this department which meets our overall goal of an athletic trainer assigned to each team. We also believe under Aidan's leadership and mentorship, our entire sports medicine department will benefit and grow to make this one of the top areas in the Sun Belt Conference and country. We are fortunate to have partners across campus to help support this transition, and we appreciate their collaboration as we enhance our athletic training staff and provide improved support for all of our student-athletes."
