This Week at Texas State: October 2, 2023

Football continues its start to the conference season on the road at Louisiana. Volleyball returns to Strahan Arena for a pair of matches against Louisiana. Soccer will face Coastal Carolina on Thursday at the Bobcat Soccer Complex for Hispanic Heritage Day. Cross Country is competing in the Old Glory Gallop Invite and softball continues its fall schedule at home.

Texas State prevented a comeback attempt from Southern Miss on Saturday to beat the Golden Eagles 50-36. Texas State continues its start on the road to the Sun Belt schedule with a Saturday matchup at Louisiana.

Volleyball returns home for a pair of matches against Louisiana on Friday and Saturday in Strahan Arena. Over the weekend the Bobcats lost two conference matches against James Madison.

Soccer saw its six-match undefeated streak end on the road at Georgia State. Texas State will be back at the Bobcat Soccer Complex on Thursday for a match against Coastal Carolina for Hispanic Heritage Day. The Bobcats will then face ULM in Monroe, Louisiana on Sunday. 
 
Cross Country
 
Saturday, October 7—Old Glory Gallop Invite

Alexia Macias paced the Texas State cross country team in the second meet of the season with her second top-six finish of the year. The Bobcats return to race action on Saturday at the Old Glory Gallop Invite.
