Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Bobcats Lose 4-0 to South Alabama

SAN MARCOS, Texas- Women's tennis (4-12, 1-5) unable to fend off South Alabama (15-3, 5-1) in second conference match of the weekend, falling 4-0 to the Jaguars.

"South Alabama was definitely a tough team, I felt that we had them on the ropes in doubles and couldn't quite capitalize on that," said assistant coach Kendall Brooks. "They were really tough on all six courts in singles. We gave it all we had and came up short, so I think we need to get back to work, definitely try to refocus for two more home matches. All the teams in our conference are tough, but beatable and we have to believe that we are capable if we want to do so."

Doubles
Jadeh Chan and Mae McCutcheon lost the first doubles match of the day 6-4 on court two.

South Alabama clinched the doubles point on court three where Sofia Fortuno and Kylee Shannon had a close loss of 7-5.

Half of the singles matches went unfinished today, with Luminita Tutunaru defeating Mae McCutcheon 6-4, 6-2 on line three to clinch the fourth point for South Alabama.
