SAN MARCOS, Texas – Riding a three-game winning streak, the Texas State men's basketball team (15-6, 6-3 Sun Belt) hits the road to take on Louisiana (10-11, 5-6 Sun Belt) Thursday night. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside the Cajundome.

LOOKING AT THE BOBCATS
Caleb Asberry leads the Bobcats in scoring at 13.9 ppg. He has made a team-high 44 three-pointers, 51 free throws and recorded 27 steals.
Isiah Small comes in averaging 11.0 ppg and a team best 7.3 rpg. Also with a double-digit scoring mark at 10.2 is
Mason Harrell. The senior is dishing out 3.3 apg as well.

SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA
The Ragin' Cajuns have dropped six of their last eight games that saw them split contests last weekend on the road with a win over Little Rock and a loss to Arkansas State. Louisiana is 6-4 at home this year with a 2-3 mark in Sun Belt Conference contests.

Jordan Brown paces the Cajuns with 15.1 ppg and 8.9 rpg. Only other player putting up double-figures is Kobe Julien at 11.3 ppg behind 33 made treys. Theo Akwuba comes in averaging 8.9 ppg, 8.4 rpg and has rejected a team-high 28 shots. A threat form beyond the arc is Kentrell Garnett, who has knocked down 42 of his 49 made shots from beyond the arc while shooting 51.9% from deep.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series is in Louisiana's favor 15-6 but TXST has won five of the last eight meetings including the first one this year. The Bobcats overcame a 13-point second half deficit to win 72-68 back on Jan. 15 in Strahan Arena. Asberry scored 22 points along with recording five rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks.

When playing in Lafayette, Texas State is 2-7 with the last game being a 71-59 victory on Jan. 2, 2021. Four Bobcats scored double-digit points led by Small with 18 on 8-of-9 shooting.
