NATCHITOCHES, La.- Women's tennis (2-3) falls 5-1 at Northwestern State (3-2) in singles, as a threat of rain delayed the start of doubles.
The Bobcats and Lady Demons started the day with singles due to a threat of rain, no doubles matches took place due to Northwestern State clinching singles.
Hana Kvapilova was the only Bobcat to win her singles match, defeating Rozi Dohnalova 6-4, 6-2 in flight No. 1. Recent Sun Belt Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week,
Mae McCutcheon, lost 6-2, 6-1 in flight No. 3 against Mariella Minetti.
Maria Lora almost clinched a second singles point, but came up short in a three-set match in flight No. 5 with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 loss to Viktorie Wojcikova.
Kate Malazonia had a close 7-6, 6-0 match with Tjasa Klevisar in flight No. 2.
Renata Gonzalez also had a tight 7-6, 7-6 match in flight No. 6 against Patrycja Polanska.
