SAN MARCOS, Texas – In the latest States Up podcast, Texas State women's golfer
Marine Griffaut shares her experience as an international student-athlete in San Marcos.
A two-time All-Sun Belt Conference First Team honoree, Griffaut is in her third season at Texas State after coming to the United States from France. She led the Bobcats in five of the 11 tournaments last season, and this year, she finished the fall schedule with an eighth-place finish at the Hurricane Invitational to pace Texas State.
In this episode, Griffaut, who is originally from Paris, discusses what it is like to be an international student-athlete in the United States, what her recruitment process was like, how she improved her ability to speak English, and what her goals are for life after Texas State.
