After another narrow loss on the road, Texas State will look to rebound with its final road game of the 2022 season as it faces South Alabama in Mobile on Saturday at 4 p.m. The game can be watched on ESPN+ and heard on the Varsity Network and KTSW 89.9 FM.

The Bobcats are in the midst of a three-game losing streak and have lost all three games by a combined 10 points. • Mbanasor is currently 7th in the Sun Belt with 0.56 sacks/game.

E-Z DOES IT
  • Nelson Mbanasor is not the only Bobcat defensive lineman standing out lately as fifth-year senior Nico Ezidore has been disruptive in the last 4 games.
  • Since Oct. 8 against App State, Ezidore has 7.0 TFLs and 3.0 sacks in 4 games. He also has 18 total tackles and 2 pass breakups.
  • The Naaman Forest HS (TX) product has his most TFLs in a season (7.0) since tallying a career-high 13.0 in 2020.
  • He is 0.5 sack away from his career-high as well.
  • Ezidore needs 3 more TFLs to crack Texas State's all-time top-10 for most career TFLs. He has 26.5 entering this weekend and would match Frankie Griffin (2016-19) for 10th on the list (29.5).

REVEL(S) IN THE FACT
  • Fourth-year junior Jordan Revels has also contributed to the disruptive front seven of Texas State's defense as of late as he has 24 tackles and 3.0 sacks over the last 3 games.

  • Hatcher is currently 4th in Texas State's FBS history for most passing yards in a single season. He needs 4 passing yards on Saturday at South Alabama to pass Tyler Jones (2,184 in 2016) for 3rd on the all-time list.
