FOLEY, Ala. – The Texas State soccer team (12-5-2) saw its season come to an end Wednesday night as it dropped a 1-0 contest to James Madison (11-3-5) in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Tournament held at the Foley Sports Complex.

The Dukes held possession and attempted 16 shots compared to six for the Bobcats. Only two shots on frame for TXST came from
Lily Erb.

In goal,
Katelyn Chrisman had a big day in goal with six saves. She finished the year with 57 saves to tie teammate
Beth Agee for the third most by a sophomore goalkeeper in team history.

JMU took 11 shots compared to three for Texas State in the first half. Chrisman kept the Dukes off the scoreboard with four stops.

The lone goal of the match came early in the 57th minute as Amanda Attanasi slotted an attempt into the lower right corner.

A great opportunity for Texas State came in the 60th minute when
Kamaria Williams sent in a long ball towards the back post. Two Bobcats were there but both were unable to get a foot on the ball before it went out of play.
