GLADEWATER, Texas—After the first round of the Tempest Collegiate Texas State sits in third with four Bobcats in the top-10 at the Tempest Golf Club.

After beginning the day in the bottom half of the leaderboard, Texas State finished the opening round of the first-ever Tempest Collegiate in third five strokes behind first-place Rice.
The Bobcats shot two-under par; they are four strokes in front of Stephen F. Austin in a field of 11 teams.
Individual
Harrison Hineline and
Terrin Anderson tied for the top spots among the Texas State lineup playing as individuals. Both shot two-under par to tie for first among eight individual competitors.
Anderson recorded five birdies, the most in the round for Texas State, with three back-to-back on the last nine holes.
The second pair of Bobcats to tie were
Sakke Siltala and
Kasper Nyland, finishing seventh one-under. Both had double bogeys but made up for it with a combined six birdies.
Jack Burke and
Tom Roed Karlsen tied for 13
th, the final pair of Bobcats to end the first round tied. Karlsen was set to compete as an individual but moved into the fifth spot following a last-minute injury.
