SAN MARCOS, Texas – Texas State unveiled its 2021 football schedule on Monday afternoon after the Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced the Sun Belt's full composite slate for next season.
 
Texas State's schedule features six home games against Baylor, UIW, South Alabama, Troy, ULM, and Georgia Southern. Texas State travels to FIU, Eastern Michigan, Georgia State, Louisiana, Coastal Carolina, and Arkansas State.
 
ESPN and the Sun Belt Conference will release the game times and network coverage for the first three weeks in June. All other game times and network coverage for Texas State's remaining games will fall into the 12-day selection process.
 
Texas State opens its 2021 season against Baylor on Sept. 4, marking the second time in school history that the Bobcats open a campaign with a home game against a Big XII opponent.
 
The Bobcats will play its first road game in 2021 at FIU on Sept. 11, before returning to Bobcat Stadium for their second home game against UIW on Sept.18. TXST closes out its non-conference schedule on Sept. 25 when the Bobcats travel to Eastern Michigan.
 
Texas State begins its Sun Belt Conference slate with a pair of home games when it hosts South Alabama on Oct. 9 and Troy on Oct. 16.
 
The Bobcats play their first two Sun Belt road games at Georgia State on Oct. 23 and Louisiana on Oct. 30.
 
Texas State returns to Bobcat Stadium for its final two home games versus ULM on Nov. 6 and Georgia Southern on Nov. 13.
 
Texas State closes out its 2021 slate with road games at Coastal Carolina on Nov. 20 and Arkansas State on Nov. 27.
 
The annual Sun Belt Championship game, pitting the East and West Division champions, is scheduled for Saturday. Dec. 4.
