BOULDER CITY, Nev.  – The Texas State men's golf team registered a third-place finish at the 2020 Jackrabbit Invitational on Saturday after shooting a 14-over par score of 878 through 54 holes on the par-72, 7,402-yard course at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.  
 
Seniors Logan Lockwood and Dalton Hankamer led the Bobcats as both finished among the top 15 individuals at the tournament. Lockwood clinched a second-place finish after shooting a one-under-par 71 in the final round and ended the tournament with a 9-under-par total of 207. He opened the tournament with a 6-under-par 66 in the first round and a second-round score of 2-under par 70 on Friday.
 
Lockwood finished the tournament four shots behind the individual medalist, Dustin Hasley of Oral Roberts, who finished with a 13-under-par score of 203. George Leigh of UNLV, who played as an individual, finished in third place at 7-under par.
 
Hankamer posted Texas State's top score in the final round when he finished with a 3-under-par 69 to move up 14 spots in the individual standings. He tied for 14th place with an overall 1-over-par total of 217. Hankamer began the tournament with a one-under-par 71 in the first round before shooting a 5-over-par 77 in the second.
 
Senior Inigo Benaran moved up eight spots into a tie for 49th place in the individual standings after finishing the third round with a 3-over-par 75. Playing in Texas State's lineup for the first time this season, Benaran ended the tournament at +14.
 
Calvin Ross and Terrin Anderson were among five players tied for 56th place after finishing the tournament with a 16-over-par total of 232. Ross fired a 5-over-par 77 in each of the final two rounds after shooting at 6-over-par 78 in the opening round.
 
A freshman from Montgomery, Texas, Anderson played in Texas State's lineup for the first time and finished the tournament at 8-over-par in both the first and third rounds. His best score came in the second round when he fired an even-par 72.
 
Texas State posted a 4-over-par 292 in the third round on Saturday to pass Southern Utah and Boston College. The Bobcats shot seven shots better than Boston College, and the Eagles remained in fourth place after shooting an 11-over-par 299 as a team on Saturday. Boston College finished the tournament at 16-over-par with a 54-hole total score of 880.
 
Southern Utah began the day in third place before shooting a 13-over-par score of 301 in the final round to fall into fifth place.
 
Oral Roberts was the team champion at 22-under-par with a 54-hole total of 849. Nevada finished in second place with a team total of 7-over-par.
