SAN MARCOS, Texas - The Texas State men's golf team announced its 2019-20 schedule Friday, and it features returning to six tournaments from this past season, returning to another tournament for the first time since 2011-12, and the Sun Belt Conference championship. The Bobcats will play in tournaments located in six different states (Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana and Nevada) and three new sites.
Texas State returns to two tournaments in the fall semester. The first is the Air Force Academy's Gene Miranda Invitational on Sept. 6-8 at the Eisenhower-Blue Golf Course in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Bobcats also go back to the Little Rock First Tee Classic hosted by fellow Sun Belt Conference member University of Arkansas at Little Rock at the Chenal Country Club on Oct. 21-22.
In between, Texas State travels to Louisiana Tech's Jim Rivers Intercollegiate on Sept. 15-17 at the Squire Creek Country Club in Ruston, La.
The Bobcats join Sam Houston State as a co-host for the Bentwater Intercollegiate Oct. 7-8 at the Bentwater Country Club in Conroe, Texas.
Texas State's spring schedule starts with a trip to the Mobile Sports Invitational that is hosted by South Alabama Feb. 10-11 at the Magnolia Grove Course in Mobile, Ala.
The spring schedule includes six tournaments before the Sun Belt Conference Championship at the Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Ark. on April 26-29. The winner of the Sun Belt Championship earns a berth in the NCAA Regionals on May 17-20.
Texas State returns to Houston's All-American Intercollegiate Tournament for the first time since 2011-12 on Feb. 16-18 at the Golf Club of Houston.
The Bobcats also return to the Jackrabbit Invitational for the second straight year when they return to Las Vegas on Mar. 6-7. South Dakota State hosts the tournament at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Texas State also returns to the Louisiana Classics on Mar. 16-17 at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La.
The Bobcats also play in South Alabama's Craft Farms Intercollegiate on Mar. 30-31. South Alabama is the tournament host at the Craft Farms Golf Club in Gulf Shores, Ala.
Texas State's final tune-up before the Sun Belt Conference Championship is when the Bobcats return to the Bayou City Classic on Apr. 13-14. The tournament's co-hosts are Houston, Rice, and Sam Houston State and the event will be at the Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas.
