Texas State Signs 14 Players in 2019 Signing Class

SAN MARCOS, Texas - Texas State head football coach Jake Spavital announced Wednesday that 14 players have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Bobcats in 2019. The Bobcats added four players on the National Signing Day after signing 10 players during the early signing period.

Texas State added wide receiver Kenny Frazier, tight end Micah Hilts, safety DeJordan Mask and North Shore defensive lineman Jordan Revels on Wednesday's National Signing Day.

Revels earned First-Team All-State honors and was named the MVP of the Class 6A State Championship game after helping North Shore High School win 41-36 against Duncanville.

Hilts recorded 27 receptions for 417 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games as a senior at Vista Ridge High School in Colorado Springs.

Frazier gives the Bobcats an exciting playmaker on offense in open spaces on field. He displayed his playmaking ability as a senior at Opelousas High School when he was named a Player of the Week after throwing touchdown passes of 80 yards and 33 yards, rushing for 64 yards and catching three passes for 65 yards in a game.

Mask was a standout safety and punt returner at Arkansas High School in Texarkana throughout his high school career.  He also played wide receiver during his senior season.

During the early signing period, the Bobcats inked quarterbacks Cedric Case and Gresch Jensen, offensive linemen Dalton Cooper, Ron Copney and Eddie Rivas, wide receiver Dylan Jantz and running back Calvin Hill to its offense. Texas State also added nose tackle Devin Henderson, linebacker Devin Martinez and safety Kevin Anderson on defense.

Case comes to Texas State after completing 73 percent of his passes for 2,782 yards and 25 touchdowns at Lincoln High School in Nebraska.

Jensen rejoins new Texas State offensive coordinator Bob Stitt after he completed 159 of 274 passes for 2,330 yards and 16 touchdowns at Fullerton College last season. Jenson played at Montana as a freshman when Stitt was the head coach and completed 60.2 percent of his passes for 2,531 yards and 20 TDs for the Grizzlies.

The three offensive linemen will help the Bobcats add depth to the position as Rivas is a transfer from Glendale Community College in California. He is returning to the Division I ranks after spending one season at Northern Arizona. The Bobcats also added Dalton Cooper from Prague High School in Oklahoma and Ronald Copney from Smithson Valley High School.

The Bobcats also signed a trio of playmakers in defensive back Kevin Anderson of Lewisville High School, running back Calvin Hill of Baytown Sterling High School and wide receiver Dylan Jantz of Gunter High School.

Hill rushed for 3,888 yards and 41 touchdowns during his high school career, while Jantz tallied 3,311 all-purpose yards and 68 touchdowns as a junior and senior wide receiver. Dave Campbell's Football lists Anderson among the top 30 safety prospects in Texas.

The Bobcats also added nose tackle Devin Henderson on their defensive line and Devin Martinez as an outside linebacker. Henderson had 44 tackles, three sacks and 14 tackles for loss as a senior at LaPorte High School. Martinez recorded 57 tackles, eight sacks and 12 quarterback hurries at Belton High School.
