BOONE, N.C. – The Texas State men's basketball team looks to complete an undefeated road swing on Saturday at Appalachian State. The game is scheduled to tip at 2 p.m. ET inside the Holmes Convocation Center.

The Bobcats enter the game 13-3 on the season, the best start through 16 games since the 1959-60 campaign, and are 2-1 in the Sun Belt Conference. APP comes in 5-11 overall and are the lone winless team in the league at 0-3.

Texas State is coming off a 65-61 victory at Coastal Carolina Thursday night and were led by
Alex Peacock's 13 points.
Nijal Pearson was the only other Bobcat to break double-digits in points with 12 in his first game since having his nose broken against Georgia State.
On the road this season, TXST is 5-2 with non-conference wins at Portland, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UTSA and UT Rio Grande Valley while the two losses were against Drake and Arkansas.
Pearson paces the Bobcats in scoring at 17.8 points per game. He is knocking down 43.9 percent of his three-point attempts.
Tre'Larenz Nottingham is the only other player averaging at least 10 ppg at 12.9. Both he and Pearson are tied for 12
th in the Sun Belt with 1.4 steals per game.
Alex Peacock ranks eighth among the Sun Belt's rebounding leaders with a 7.2 average. His 2.8 assists per contest is tied for the 15
th most in the conference.
Jaylen Shead leads the team and is third in the league with 4.9 apg.

Appalachian State is led by Ronshad Shabazz, who ranks fourth in the Sun Belt in scoring with 19.8 ppg and is ninth with a 47.2 field goal percentage and 81.4 free throw percentage. The senior is making 2.4 three-pointers per game.
Justin Forrest is contributing 14.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 2.6 apg. He paces the team with 17 steals. The guard has also made 25 treys and is converting 77.0 percent of his free throw attempts.
Isaac Johnson is close to averaging a double-double at 10.3 ppg and 8.6 rpg. He has recorded seven steals as well.
Borth Tyrell Johnson and Adrian Delph are contributing 7.7 and 7.3 ppg, respectively. Johnson has a team-high 15 blocks while Delph has made 23 of his 43 shots from beyond the arc.

Appalachian State leads the all-time series 5-4 after sweeping the regular season meetings last season. TXST is 1-3 all-time in Boone with the lone win coming on Jan. 30, 2017 by the score of 68-55. The series began with Texas State winning the opening meeting 79-68 on Dec. 23, 2010 in Cancun, Mexico as part of the ESPN Governor's Cup.
