SAN MARCOS, Texas- The 2017 Texas State football schedule was announced Wednesday morning by the Sun Belt Conference, which finalized schedules for all league members. In that schedule, the Bobcats will host six home games at Bobcat Stadium featuring a new foe, an I-35 Maroon-Orange rivalry rematch and the defending Sun Belt Conference champion. The schedule also includes a Thursday night contest on ESPNU.
 
Texas State opens the 2017 campaign with three of its first four games in Bobcat Stadium. The Bobcats play a new intrastate team when they open the season against Houston Baptist on September 2.
 
Texas State's lone road game during that span is on September 9 when the Bobcats travel to Colorado of the Pac-12 for a non-conference game against the Buffaloes.
 
The Bobcats return to Bobcat Stadium on September 16 and open their Sun Belt Conference schedule against defending champion Appalachian State and host I-35 Maroon-Orange Rival UTSA on September 23.
 
Texas State will close out the month with its second road game at Wyoming on September 30.
 
The Bobcats play three Sun Belt Conference games during the month of October beginning with a home game against ULM on October 7.
 
Texas State plays in one of seven non-Saturday Sun Belt Conference games televised by ESPN when its game at Louisiana on Thursday, October 12 appears on ESPNU.
 
Following its first open date in the season, Texas State closes out October with a conference road game at Coastal Carolina on October 28.
 
The Bobcats start the month of November with a pair of home games when they host New Mexico State on November 4 and Georgia State on November 11.  Texas State concludes the schedule with a pair of road games at Arkansas State on November 18 and at Troy on November 25.

Season tickets for Texas State's 2017 season are on sale with prices ranging from $80-140 per seat. There also are special discounts available for Bobcat Club members, Texas State faculty and staff, recent alumni from 2012-17 and T-Association members.
