SAN MARCOS, Texas – The final non-conference home game of the season for the Texas State men's basketball team takes place on Tuesday against Ecclesia College. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. inside Strahan Coliseum.
Entering the game, the Bobcats are 5-6 on the season while the Royals are winless at 0-11.

Nijal Pearson continues to pace all TXST players with 14.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. He has made a team-high 22 three-pointers and is shooting 37.3 percent from beyond the arc. The Beaumont, Texas native is coming off a 14-point effort at Colorado State in which he made 5-of-7 shot attempts.
Pacing the Bobcats with a 65.6 field goal percentage and nine blocks is
Immanuel King. The junior is averaging 9.3 ppg and 5.6 rpg.
Tyler Blount is shooting a team-high 43.8 percent from long distance that also ranks 10th in the Sun Belt Conference. He has connected on 21 three-pointers out of his 31 made field goals this season.
Since entering the starting lineup against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi,
Alex Peacock is putting up 8.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Overall, the junior is averaging 7.4 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.2 apg and a team-high 1.5 spg. He has made 48.1 percent of his shots and a team best 83.9 percent at the free throw line.
Eric Terry contributes 7.1 ppg while coming off the bench in every contest. He is tied for first among all Bobcats with 26 made free throws with Peacock and is shooting 72.2 percent from the charity stripe.
Scouting Ecclesia
Ecclesia is a NCCAA Division I independent program out of Springdale, Arkansas. The Royals are 0-11 this season and have only played one home game this year, that being a 94-88 overtime loss against Nebraska Christian on Nov. 17. Eight of their games this season have been against NCAA Division I or II programs with all of them counting as exhibition games.
On Saturday, Ecclesia lost 112-67 at Henderson State in Arkadelphia, Ark. Chris White led the way for the Royals with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting. DQ Bagsby added 16 points with a 6-for-8 shooting night that including going 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. Also reaching double-figures was JR Ramirez with 14 points with a 4-of-7 mark on three-point attempts. Noah Banks led the Royals with 10 rebounds in a team-high 34 minutes.

Tuesday will be the first-ever meeting between Texas State and Ecclesia.
