SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Texas State volleyball team returns home for the 11th Annual Pink Match. The Bobcats (13-7, 5-1 SBC) will play host to TCU (9-7, 1-4 Big 12) at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 inside Strahan Coliseum.

TXST has swept each of its last five opponents, but the maroon and gold will be looking for its first win over a Big 12 Conference opponent since Sept. 10, 2013 (Baylor).

11th ANNUAL PINK MATCH SET FOR OCT. 10 VS. TCU
•    TXST hosts the fundraising event for Pink Heals Hays County in an effort to raise money for the organization.
•    In conjunction with their bout with the Horned Frogs, the maroon and gold will take donations and hold a silent auction as part of their annual Pink Match contest to help promote cancer awareness.
•    In total, Texas State volleyball raised $7,788 for the local organization last season. Pink Heals Hays County is a chapter of the National Pink Heals Tour and has donated more than $107,000 since 2012 to assist families in their battle against cancer.

AMERICA'S LONGEST-TENURED STAFF
•    The Texas State full-time coaching staff consists of head coach Karen Chisum, associate head coach Tracy Smith and assistant coach Sean Huiet.
•    The trio has been at Texas State for a combined 66 years (38/16/12), a mark which is by far the highest in the nation for any coaching staff. The next closest is Texas A&M at just 52 years, while Penn State ranks third at 47 years.
•    For comparison's sake, the respective coaching staffs of this week's opponents of TCU (9) and UTA (3) have only been at their schools for a combined 12 total years.
•    Not counting Little Rock's 45 years, the other 10 Sun Belt Conference schools have only 82 combined years of tenure. Of the bunch, Appalachian State leads at 18 years, while Louisiana ranks second at 12.

A LOOK AT TEXAS STATE
•    The Bobcats have the most wins overall (13) and the most road wins (7) in the Sun Belt Conference. They are also second-best in win percentage (.650) and fewest losses (7).
•    TXST presently leads the conference in opponent hitting percentage (.166), assists (12.86) and kills (13.55), while ranking second in digs (16.18).
•    Other than digs in 2013, Texas State has never finished a campaign leading the Sun Belt in a statistical category.
•    The maroon and gold became members of the SBC in 2013.
•    Texas State finished second in the SBC West Division last year and advanced to the semifinals of the 2016 SBC Championship.
•    TXST is 4-2 at home, 2-4 on neutral grounds and 7-1 in true road matches this season.
•    The Bobcats own eight non-conference victories this year, which is the most since 2013.

A LOOK AT TCU
•    The Horned Frogs will enter Tuesday's tilt with a 9-7 overall record and a 1-4 mark in the Big 12 Conference this season.
•    TCU went 8-3 in non-conference action, earning wins along the way over common opponents UTSA, Coastal Carolina, SMU and Sam Houston State. The lone league triumph came against Kansas State.
•    They have suffered losses to West Virginia, Baylor, Kansas and Texas.
•    TCU features Dani Dennison and Anna Walsh. Dennison ranks second in the Big 12 in digs (4.82), while Walsh is sixth in hitting percentage (.359).
•    Texas State leads the all-time series 6-3, but the two sides have only met once since 2007.
•    TCU has won three of the last four meetings, including a 3-0 triumph in Fort Worth on Aug. 28, 2015.

KNOCKING OFF GIANTS
•    Texas State has earned marquee victories over the past two weeks against Coastal Carolina and Arkansas State.
•    The Bobcats knocked off the Chanticleers 3-0 in Conway on Oct. 1 before taking down the Red Wolves by an identical 3-0 margin in Jonesboro on Oct. 7.
•    The shutout loss was the first for the Red Wolves in SBC play since Nov. 22, 2014.
•    Coastal Carolina suffered its first home sweep in a conference match since Oct. 29, 2011, when the team was a member of the Big South Conference. It was also just the second loss overall as members of the Sun Belt.
•    CCU is the defending league champions, while A-State is currently the reigning SBC West Division champs.
•    The two sides met in the SBC Championship match last year and were projected by the league's coaches to have repeat efforts in 2017.
•    No other member of the Sun Belt can lay claim to recording wins over both programs this year.
•    The Chanticleers (5-1 in league play this season) joined the conference in 2016, and they have only suffered two losses. Arkansas State defeated them in the regular season last year.

LAST TIME OUT
•    TXST collected a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-22, 26-24) over Arkansas State in a Sun Belt Conference match Saturday night inside Convocation Center.
 •    Amy Pflughaupt blasted a career-high 19 kills on a .326 attack percentage (five errors, 43 swings). Megan Porter recorded her seventh double-double of the season (11 kills, 11 digs), and Erin Hoppe distributed a match-high 42 assists. Micah Dinwiddie (13) and Mattie Adams (12) combined for 25 digs.
•    Texas State paced the evening in kills (49-38), attack percentage (.232-.146), assists (47-36), digs (58-49) and blocks (11-7). Arkansas State led in aces (2-1).

BREAKING OUT THE BROOMS
•    The Bobcats have earned 3-0 victories in each of their last five outings.
•    Over the stretch, the maroon and gold has knocked off Troy, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, Little Rock and Arkansas State.
•    The last time TXST had at least five-consecutive shutout victories came back in 2000, when the maroon and gold amassed a school-record streak of 12 consecutive 3-0 wins.
•    Each of the last four shutouts have been on the road, which ties the school record for most consecutive 3-0 triumphs away from home.
•    The last such streak also came in 2000.
