This Saturday marks the final game of the season for the Texas State football team and will be the final home game for 18 senior and graduate transfer players when the Bobcats host Arkansas State in a Sun Belt Conference game at Bobcat Stadium beginning at 6:30 p.m.

After the players are recognized the Bobcats will look to win their second home game and third game overall this season as Texas State enters the game with a 2-9 record after dropping its last Sun Belt contest against Troy. Meanwhile, Arkansas State looks to improve their 6-5 overall record and tie Appalachian State and possibly Troy for the Sun Belt title.

In addition, the Texas State "T" Association Distinguished Athletic Alumni Hall of Honor will be honored at halftime of Saturday's game as Henry Garcia (men's basketball), Brian Lusson (men's tennis), Johnny Parker (football) and Jamie Person-Coleman (men's track & field) will be inducted as the Class of 2016 on Friday night in the J. Garland Warren Reception Room at Bobcat Stadium. Induction into the Hall of Honor is the highest athletics honor to be bestowed upon Texas State athletic alumni.

Saturday's game will be nationally televised on ESPN2 with Allen Bestwick calling the play-by-play and Ahmad Brooks. serving as the analyst. Kris Budden will be the sideline reporter.

The game can be heard live on 1300 The Zone (1300 AM) in Austin, KTSW (89.9 FM) in San Marcos, KSLR (630 AM) in San Antonio and on www.txstatebobcats.com. Brant Freeman is the play-by-play announcer with Bill Culhane serving as analyst and Ben Campos serving as the sideline reporter.

SERIES HISTORY
Texas State enters Saturday's game with a 1-2 series record against Arkansas State in a series that began when the Bobcats joined the Sun Belt in 2013. Texas State dropped a pair of decisions in Jonesboro, including a 55-17 decision last year. Texas State's victory came in 2014 with a 45-27 win at Bobcat Stadium.

Game Promotions
Texas State students who attend Saturday's game will have a chance to win free tuition (up to $5,000) toward 2017 spring tuition, a 40-inch HD LED TV, Xbox One game console, portable speakers and Kendra Scott earrings. Student groups that include five or more persons will have an opportunity to be named the "Students of the Game" and win cash prizes.
In addition, holiday cookies will be given away and ugly sweater T-Shirts will be given to the first 2,000 fans at the game.
