MOBILE, Ala. – Two second half goals by South Alabama proved to be too much for the Texas State soccer team Sunday afternoon as the Bobcats fell by a score of 2-1 in Mobile, Ala. The Bobcats fall to 8-5 overall and 2-3 in Sun Belt Conference play.
 
Lynsey Curry got the Bobcats on the board first just 12 seconds into the second half. Texas State took advantage off of the kick-off and when an attempted serve by South Alabama that got blocked by Lauren Prater fell at the feet at Curry, she was able to score with an open look at the goal. Curry's goal in the 46^th minute marked her sixth of the season.
 
South Alabama then retaliated less than two minutes later after a free kick came into the box. The Jaguars then added one more goal in the 80^th minute to take over the lead from Texas State.
 
Each team finished the game with 11 shots and Texas State recorded four corners compared to two by the Jaguars. Caitlynn Rinehart was in goal Sunday afternoon and recorded a season-high five saves.
 
Texas State will have two more road contests before returning home for its final two matches of the regular season. Next weekend, the 'Cats will travel to UL Lafayette and UL Monroe. Kick-off against the Ragin' Cajuns is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday evening.
