Box Score San Marcos, Texas – Texas State sophomore quarterback Tyler Jones has been named the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week after accounting for 329 yards of total offense in Texas State's 65-0 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
 
Jones completed 21 of his 25 passes for career-bests of 278 yards and four touchdowns against the Lions. His 21 completions and completion percentage of 84.0 percent were also career bests.
 
In addition, he also rushed for 51 yards on six carries against UAPB. His 329 yards in total offense helped Texas State set a school record of 697 yards as a team. The Bobcats' team total also tied for the fifth-highest single game total in Sun Belt Conference history.
 
Texas State's next game will be Sept. 13 when the Bobcats play host to Navy in a game that will be televised on ESPNews beginning at 7:00 p.m.
