The Texas State football team looks to win its sixth game overall and third straight Sun Belt Conference game when the Bobcats return home and play host to Georgia Southern on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Bobcat Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN3 beginning at 3:04 p.m. (Central).
Texas State enters the game with a 5-3 overall record and 3-1 SBC mark after winning its first two Sun Belt Conference road games in school history. The Bobcats won a 37-29 decision at New Mexico State a 22-18 result at UL Monroe. The Bobcats also split their first two conference home games against Idaho and UL Lafayette.
Georgia Southern enters the game as the top team in the Sun Belt Conference with a 7-2 overall record and a 6-0 mark against SBC opponents this season. The Eagles enter the game with a six-game winning streak and are 3-0 in Sun Belt Conference road games this season after posting wins at South Alabama, New Mexico State and Georgia State. Georgia Southern's two losses are against North Carolina State and Georgia Tech.
