San Marcos, Texas – The Texas State men's basketball team will travel to UT Arlington and Louisiana Tech this week. The Bobcats will play the Mavericks on Thursday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m., and then face the Bulldogs on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. in Ruston.

Series

Texas State leads the all-time series over UT Arlington, 30-26. Louisiana Tech controls the all-time lead over Texas State at 5-1.

Scouting Texas State

Texas State is currently tied for seventh in the WAC with a league record of 3-8. The Bobcats are 3-5 on the road so far this season, as it will travel to UT Arlington and then Louisiana Tech. Joel Wright ranks first in the WAC in scoring with 18.0 ppg, and first in WAC-only games at 20.8 ppg.

Scouting Louisiana Tech

Louisiana Tech is the lone undefeated team in WAC play. Raheem Appleby the Bulldogs leading scorer, ranks eighth in the league with an average of 14.4 points per game. The Bulldogs average 72.1 points per game for the top scoring offense in the league. The bulldogs won the last outing, 84-67.
