Men's Basketball Heads up to Texas Saturday

Game Notes

San Marcos, Texas
– Following a 10-day break, its longest of the season, the Texas State men's basketball team will head up I-35 Saturday to take on Texas at the Frank Erwin Center at 7:00 p.m.

The Bobcats come into the game having won three of their last four games. Kavin Gilder-Tilbury has led the charge during that time, hitting eight three-pointers over his four games and having nine points and eight rebounds in his first career start on Dec. 4 against Cedarville.

Texas State has had much better ball movement of late, with 41 assists in its last two games. The Bobcats had a season-high 22 against Southeast Missouri in the championship game of the Cure UCD Classic.

Saturday's game against the Longhorns is the 10th straight year the two teams have met, all coming in Austin. Last season the Bobcats came up just short, 75-63. Reid Koenen had 10 points in the loss on 4-of-8 shooting.

For those who cannot make it to the Frank Erwin Center, the game will be televised on the Longhorn Network. It will also be broadcast on www.txstatebobcats.com and following graduation ceremonies on 89.9 FM KTSW.
