Football Heads for Fourth Straight Win Saturday

San Marcos, Texas –
The Texas State football team will look to win its fourth straight game and improve its standing to receive a bowl berth, Saturday at Arkansas State. The Red Wolves are the two-time defending Sun Belt Conference champions.

Texas State is coming off its second bye week of the season following a 37-21 win at Idaho on Nov. 2. In that game against the Vandals, Tyler Jones threw for 200+ yards for the second straight week. Jones connected for two touchdowns, including a one-handed grab by Isaiah Battle right before halftime.

Arkansas State enters the contest 5-4 following its 42-14 thumping of ULM last Saturday in Jonesboro, Ark. The Red Wolves are led by first-year head coach Bryan Harsin who previously was the offensive coordinator at Boise State and Texas.
