San Marcos, Texas – With two meets already under their feet, the Texas State men's and women's cross country teams will next compete at the Rice Invitational. The meet which will be held in Houston, is set for Friday, Sept. 14. The university women's 4k will begin at 6:15 p.m., followed by the university men's 6k at 6:45 p.m.

Last week, the women's team finished fourth at the UT Arlington Invitational, while the men did not field a complete team. The Rice meet will give the Bobcats a good test to see where they are at midway through the season.

Fans wishing to cheer on the Bobcats can go to the University Campus to watch the races. Parking is free, and is located in the “West Lot 4.”

There's a 20 percent chance of rain on Friday, with highs in the upper 80s and lows in the 70s.
